Jollibee Pasok sa Top 15 World Biggest Fast Food Chain, Targets Top 5

Hindi lang Miss Universe ang top export ng mga Pilipino kundi fast-food chain din.

 

Ayon sa summary ng Annual Report ng mga fast-food chains, ang Jollibee Corporation ay ang may pinakamaraming locations kumpara sa mga bansa sa Asya. Ito din ay pasok sa Top 15, ang tanging Pinoy brand sa listahan.

 

Ang Pinoy fast-food chain ay kasalukuyang mayroong 5,900 branches sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo.

 

Sa Top 20 ng Biggest Fast Food Chains ay tatlo lang ang hindi nagmula sa United States of America. Ang Tim Hortons ng Canada na nasa Top 17 at CNHLS ng China na nasa Top 20.

 

Pinakamalaking fast food chain sa mundo ang McDonald’s with 38,695 locations. Sinundan ito ng Subway, Starbucks, KFC, at Burger King na s’yang bumubuo ng Top 5.

 

Nananatiling paboritong fast food chain ang Jollibee ng mga Pinoy sa kabila ng pagpasok ng mga foreign brands gaya ng Popeyes. Numero uno man ang McDonald’s sa maraming bansa ngunit hindi sa Pilipinas dahil sa presensya ng Jollibee.

 

Ayon sa Jollibee, ang dahilan kung bakit minamahal ng mga Pilipino ang Jollibee ay dahil alam nito ang panlasa ng Pinoy pagdating sa fried chicken a spaghetti.

 

Tinagurian pa nga ang Jollibee bilang David ng Goliath na McDonald’s ng financial magazine ng The Economist.

 

Hindi pa tapos ang paglago ng Jollibee dahil ayon mismo sa CEO nito na si Ernesto Tanmantiong ang plano ay more expansion sa mga susunod na taon.

 

“We continue to dream big, and even despite the changes brought by the pandemic, our vision remains unchanged: to become one of the top five restaurant companies in the world by serving great tasting food and bringing the joy of eating to everyone,” sabi ni Tanmantiong sa isang interview with Esquire.

 

“Towards this, we did not just aim for recovery, but pushed for expansion. Hence, we accelerated the growth of our international business in the midst of the pandemic, with many milestones such as our first Jollibee in Rome, London’s famous West End, Wales, Maryland State and San Antonio, Texas, in the U.S., and, just a few months ago, we opened our first Jollibee in Spain.”

 

Magiging mas aggressive diumano ang kumpanya both locally and internationally.

 

“We target a 50-50 split in our Domestic and International sales, and with our accelerated international expansion, we are closer to that goal than ever before. In 2020, the majority of our openings happened abroad—a first in our history. This year, we are targeting to open 450 stores. We are optimistic that our existing and upcoming international stores will help us further grow as more countries reopen their economies.”
