Bacolod City: From City of Smiles to City of Economic Promise as Ecozone Gets Approved

Bacolod City might be worth a try.

Itinanghal ang City of Smiles, kabisera ng Negros Occidental bilang “Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit” ng 2021 ayon sa Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

  • innovations and timely interventions to support local businesses during health crisis
  • 24-hour vaccination drive for employees under the Business Process Outsourcing sector and the service industry
  • mobile vaccination campaign that inoculated thousands of vendors in major public markets and public utility vehicle drivers, among others.

“This (award) is like a candle in the darkness. This reassures us that when this pandemic is over, we will all be back in business and we will row the boat together. We will accelerate. We will tread that road to recovery altogether. We thank you for this inspiration of being the Most Business-Friendly City outside of Metro Manila,” saad ng mayor matapos tanggapin ang award ayon sa report ng Philippine Star.

Bacolod Economic Zone

“Our city will be provided economic incentives to motivate both local and foreign investors and boost the local commercial scene. This will further provide employment, business opportunities, export and comparative advantage opportunities, more competitive wages, and an increase in land and property valuation,” wika ni Gasataya  matapos maipasa ang batas nitong January 11.

Ito ay magbibigay ng trabaho para sa mga “graduates and skilled workers trained under the government scholarship programs to seek local employment instead of migrating for work.”
